It was 1994, and Fred Morison, a young accountant with a head for numbers and a heart for helping people, had just joined one of Hamilton’s oldest insurance brokerages. When the owner had to step away due to health issues, Fred had a wild idea over dinner: “What if we bought the company?”

With two little ones and a third on the way, Fred and his wife Jill rolled up their sleeves and jumped in. By day, Fred ran the business. By night, the kitchen table became headquarters – writing letters, stuffing envelopes, and figuring it out one step at a time.

Fast forward to today, and that one small office in downtown Hamilton has grown into multiple locations across Southern Ontario with a team of 100+ amazing people we proudly call the Morison Insurance Family.
